I really hope they manage to get all the weird and funny background faces from the manga into this.
Also, I can't wait for people to enjoy the absolute peak himbo energy that is Laius. Honestly he's one of the best characters of all time.

i can't believe they make one of my favourite manga into anime. This is gonna be a treat to watch. The adventure , the cook , the food and dungeon this is fun.

I loved reading the manga and im so glad its becoming an anime the comedy is golden and story was surprisingly deep and compelling

こんなに丁寧に作ることが許された漫画、久しぶりに見た。
作者の物語が終わってしまうのが寂しくて、進むたびに憂鬱な気持ちになるくらい。

アニメも出来るだけ丁寧に作って欲しいな。
この作品は、見逃しても全く問題ないようなキャラクターの一つ一つの細かな所作に、九井さんの想いが籠もってる。そんなところを切り取ってもらえたら、いつまでも愛される名作になれるよねきっと。

Finally! One of the best manga ever to exist got its own anime adaptation. Idk if they're going to show later chapters where it gets serious plot development but hopefully it gets many seasons after because it deserves to be made until the end.

I haven’t watched anime in years but I’ve read this manga since when it only had a few chapters, and absolutely loved it… oh man, I’m hyped

I started out with this series early on thinking it was just another fantasy food manga, which I like. I’m currently up to chapter 74. The plot ends up being multi-layered after the first 20 or 30 chapters, though, while still keeping the food theme as part of it. The party has multiple goals so it is slow, but well-paced. It doesn’t feel like things are dragging out pointlessly. In addition, the art is amazing and varied; I admire the mangaka’s skill conveying characterization.

While the protagonist is a happy-go-lucky simple guy, he doesn’t get annoying because all the different characters balance well without feeling overwhelming or repetitive. A must-read and a well deserved adaptation by one of the prestigious anime studio in the business, Studio Trigger <3!

Aaa I can’t wait! I absolutely adore Dungeon Meshi, and I really hope they capture the essence of the manga. The characters are so well written and the comedy is top notch.

Crying, screaming and throwing up over the fact we're finally getting Dungeon Meshi animated, and by Studio Trigger no less. I have dreamed for days like this!!!!!
